On November 1, 2019, BTE cooperated with Xi'an international Trade & Logistics Park, CRCT and other departments to jointly operate the Chang’an Freight 'Xi’an—Mukran--Mannheim' route, and the block train was the first one to adopt the “a single CIM/SMGS waybill' . The route passes through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Lithuania to the Baltysk port in Kaliningrad and to Mukran port on November 12, and finally arrived at the Mannheim on Nov 13th. The ' a single CIM/SMGS waybill ' mode does not need to re process the transport documents at the border stations of various countries, changes the previous operation of replacing the waybill along the way, and reduces the operation time and cost. At the same time, the 'rail-sea-rail' multimodal transport mode is used for the first time, opening up a transportation channel with a wider coverage.
At present, the rout has realized regular departure, with 6 westbound trains and 6 eastbound trains every week. Taking Mukran port as the distribution center, it can reach Hamburg / Duisburg from Mukran port in one day, and the transport covers the Western and Northern parts of Europe.
